Our Story
Winnie & Kay is named after two remarkable women who taught us what it means to live well.
Winnie was the kind of woman who laughed loudly, played games joyfully, and cooked Sunday dinner like it was a love language. She never took life too seriously and knew that joy isn't stumbled upon — it's stirred up with laughter, good company and a full table.
Kay was the kind of woman who had the kettle on before you even had time to sit down, and never let you leave with an empty belly — or an empty heart. With steady hands and a gentle presence, she stitched beauty into the everyday and gave generously — quietly, without fanfare.

Long before Winnie & Kay became a shop, it was a way of living.
In our family, making things by hand was never a hobby — it was simply part of everyday life. Quilts stitched one square at a time. Sweaters knitted through long Newfoundland winters. Gardens tended through the seasons. Meals prepared for family, friends, and unexpected visitors.
These traditions were passed from one generation to the next, not through instruction books, but through time spent together around kitchen tables, card games, and cups of tea.
Today, Winie & Kay carries those values forward. We believe in choosing things carefully, making things well, and creating spaces that invite people to gather, connect, and belong.
In a fast-moving world, we find comfort in the things that endure.
Root to Bloom
Just around the corner from our shop is Four Crows Ranch, the heartbeat behind our Root to Bloom philosophy.
Born from grief but built with hope, Four Crows is home to highland cows, horses, honeybees, wildflower fields, apple orchards, and the rugged beauty of Newfoundland & Labrador. It is a place where things are grown, nurtured, and shared.
It's not just our honey that comes from Four Crows. Everything we do at Winnie & Kay is shaped by the rhythm of the farm: intentional, grounded, connected.
Our shop is more than bricks and mortar. It is memory and meaning, soil and story — rooted in the past and blooming into something new.
From the Hive
Honey was one of the very first products to connect Four Crows Ranch and Winnie & Kay.
Our bees forage among wild Newfoundland blooms, berry blossoms, and the rugged coastal landscape that surrounds us. The honey is harvested through Four Crows Ranch and hand-poured at our shop.
Every jar reflects the land, seasons, and rhythms that inspire everything we do.
As Winnie & Kay grows, so too will the products that emerge from these roots — from honey and pantry goods to future collections inspired by the farm, the seasons, and the natural beauty of Newfoundland & Labrador.
